Vous avez tous entendu parler des ampoules d'éclairage LED, mais seule une minorité a compris ce qui les rend si avantageuses. Par conséquent, très peu d'entre nous n'en essayons pas. Si seulement nous connaissions leurs bénéfices...

Mettez en scène les avantages des ampoules d'éclairage LED au moyen d'une vidéo ou animation très captivante qui divertira les spectateurs. Eveillez l'intérêt de votre public et donnez lui envie d'essayer le produit.

Format: Vidéo ou animation de 60 sec maximum.

#1 Prix de 6 000 € pour generational change

I am a big fan of saving energy and environment protection. Because of this, I like the brief and I think it's really the time to change the old bulbs with the new LED bulbs.

In the clip, I wanted show this in a funny, but respectful way that the old bulb is already really old. Anyway, light bulb was one of the best inventions ever, but it have not changed that much in the last 100 years. For this contest, I read and learnt a lot about light bulbs, and it's really interesting.

For my ideas I prefer to work with 3D animations. You are free and there are no limits. For example you can give a bulb character.

I am very much happy to won a prize! There was some really good, funny and entertaining works. This Prize gives me a lot of self-confidence. It will be for sure not my last competition!

The video was spot on the brief in terms of having an animation and the vivid personification of the characters to portray LED benefits. It was voted best by the whole marketing team.

I can't quite remember how we heard about Eyeka. I think it was by chance on one of the many filmmaking sites I check out. We participate in contests in general because I think me and my co-creator have a unique sense of humor and an edginess that can advertise in a way that's more artful, rather than blatantly and solely trying to sell a product. No particular reason on why we decided to take part in this contest. We wanted to make it for as little money as possible because we're not rich. So something around the house with a bulb could let us do that. I was elated beyond belief when I found out I won! We missed the deadline on a previous competition. So to redeem ourselves with this one made me incredibly happy.

Our creation process usually started with me and my co-creator sit in silence together, maybe listen to an occasional song or piece of musical score that may inspire an idea. Then we relay the ideas back and forth, weak or strong, then let it become better and better as we both work with the initial spark.

We get inspiration from everything. Situations, people, environments, music, other films of course. Those that we consider the greats in filmmaking also.

Well the “we” I keep referring to is myself and a friend. We are almost exactly the same person in terms of taste, humor, quality control and a perfectionist attitude. The magic of the movies is what we love.

The video was light, funny and has viral potential, it portrayed clearly the benefits of LED bulbs.

#3 Prix de 1 000 € pour We love halogens !

I discovered eYeka thanks to a friend who advised me to join call for entries. The Philips contest was the first one in which I participated; I was looking for a contest which gave me a minimum of one week to organize the filming and post-production. So this one fitted perfectly.

I am very happy for the team whom I worked with in this short movie, even though I have to admit that being on the first step of the podium would have delighted me. By the way, I would like to use this moment to congratulate the winners.

My creation process, as how many people do, started from an idea. The hardest thing is to organize and picture it. I get inspiration from music, observing what is around us, feeding ourselves with meetings, and get it all together around a drink.

I work alone, but in each project I would set up a small technical team. Depending on the project's scale, it can go from 2 to 10 people.

The video was fun and the idea can be taken further to do a series of videos on LED benefits.
